General Motors Joins LabSeek's Growing E-marketplace

    LabSeek, the business-to-business electronic marketplace for scientific laboratory services, today announced that General Motors Corporation has joined LabSeek's e-marketplace to offer access to its analytical chemistry and materials characterization research capabilities exclusively through LabSeek's e-commerce site. GM is among the largest R&D organizations in the world, with an annual research and development budget of approximately $7.8 billion.

    The addition of GM brings the current number of LabSeek's exclusive partnerships with Member Labs to 44 since the company's launch in January 2000. In addition to GM, participating LabSeek laboratories include many renowned R&D organizations around the world, such as Procter & Gamble, Shell, General Mills' Medallion Laboratories, B.P. Amoco and Phillips Petroleum, among others.
