New Mitsubishi Junior Clippers Program Reaches Out To Hundreds of Inner-City Youth

   L.A. Clippers Host Clinic Series as Part of City Wide Basketball Program


    What:        The MITSUBISHI JUNIOR CLIPPERS -- a youth basketball program
                 recently created by Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc.,
                 its 21 Southern California dealers and the Los Angeles
                 Clippers -- begins its inaugural season with the second of
                 three clinics conducted by Clippers players and coaches.

                 The Mitsubishi Junior Clippers was formed to promote the
                 fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship and athletics as an
                 alternative to negative influences.  More than 700 inner-city
                 youth, ages 5-16, will participate in the clinics, part of
                 the Los Angeles City Recreation and Parks (LACRP) City Wide
                 Basketball Program.

    When:        Saturday, March 3, 2001 from 2:00-3:30 p.m.

    Background:  The Mitsubishi Junior Clippers enables inner-city youth to
                 participate in the LACRP City Wide Basketball Program at a
                 reduced rate.  In addition to the clinic series that is
                 taught by Clippers players and coaches, participants will
                 receive discounts on Clippers home game tickets.

                 The newly created program also incorporates a sportsmanship
                 and seat belt safety essay contest, whereby the winners will
                 play in a special game held at halftime during the Clippers
                 home game on Friday, April 6.
