Virtual Exhibit Adds New Resource to the SAE 2001 World Congress

WARRENDALE, Pa., Feb. 27 The Society of Automotive
Engineers (SAE International) has created a virtual exhibit for the SAE 2001
World Congress. The virtual exhibit is available on-line at
http://www.sae.org/congress and will also be accessible via 8 computer stations on
the show floor during the event, March 5 - 8, at Cobo Center, Detroit,
Michigan.
The virtual exhibit is a new and exciting addition to the SAE 2001 World
Congress! It allows individuals to view the list of exhibitors along with a
company profile and general information. In addition, the virtual exhibit can
assist users in navigating the show floor and locating individual exhibitors.
It can even print maps for use in navigating the show in person.
The "Cyber Cafe," a component of this exhibit, will also provide show
attendees with access to e-mail while attending the World Congress.
The SAE 2001 World Congress agenda, events, and technical session matrix
are also available via the virtual exhibit. SAE regularly updates the site
with any changes to the World Congress agenda. Individual exhibitors are
permitted to tailor their company message and have been given the flexibility
to update their exhibit information on their own.
"We hope that attendees to the SAE 2001 World Congress will make use of
the wealth of information provided by the virtual exhibit," stated Gene
Garbowsky, manager of the virtual exhibit. "And, as this is a new addition to
the World Congress, we are certainly looking for feedback on how to improve
this concept for 2002."
The SAE virtual exhibit presents a "user friendly" way to prepare to see
the future in automotive technology at the SAE 2001 World Congress. The site
was developed by SAE in conjunction with Trade Show Multimedia of Cleveland,
Ohio.
