Printronix Attends National Manufacturing Week '01, March 5-8

IRVINE, Calif.--Feb. 26, 2001--Printronix , the leader in supply chain printing solutions, announced that it will be an exhibitor at National Manufacturing Week in Chicago, March 5-8, 2001 at McCormick Place South, Level 3, Exhibit Hall A.
Exhibiting in booth No. 6327, Printronix will demonstrate its three printer technologies: the T5000 thermal printer with Online Data Validation (ODV(TM)) and GM 1724-A certification, the L1524 laser printer for continuous form printing, and the P5000 line matrix printer for cost-effective batch printing.
According to Terry Pruett, director of thermal products for Printronix: "Printronix offers important solutions for the manufacturing industry. Foremost among these is PrintNet Plus, our Web-based, worldwide, network management system that enables an enterprise customer to achieve complete visibility of all printing applications, whether line matrix, laser, or thermal. For supply chain customers who require accurate bar code printing, the Printronix T5000 thermal bar code printer provides Online Data Validation (ODV(TM)) which assures closed-loop bar code quality control."
"Since our latest T5000 printers print both linear and PDF417 bar codes, a new ODV feature allows it to validate print quality of PDF417 labels without losing print speed. This is especially important for automotive suppliers who are required to print labels with PDF417 bar codes and at the same time meet new automotive compliance standards, such as GM 1724-A. This unique validation process will be demonstrated at the show."
Co-exhibiting with Printronix is RJS, a division of Printronix that manufactures bar code verification systems. RJS will demonstrate its complete line of handheld portable verifiers and high speed, online verifiers.
Printronix, the leader in multi-technology "Supply Chain Printing Solutions," provides remotely managed printers that produce documents of all types in ERP network printing systems of businesses around the world. Printronix common stock is traded over-the-counter under the NASDAQ symbol PTNX. Contact the company at www.printronix.com and view the RJS verifiers at www.rjs1.com.
