AAA Chooses Select-A-Car(TM) to Provide Online Vehicle Shopping Solution; Select-A-Car to Become AAA's New Online Car Pricing and Shopping Tool
SAN DIEGO--Feb. 22, 2001--Autofusion Corp., a leading provider of auto-related e-commerce technology, and Selectica(TM) Inc. , a leading provider of Internet Selling Systems (ISS) for e-business, Thursday announced that AAA will deploy Select-A-Car to provide its members with interactive online car evaluations, pricing, and purchasing services on its United States and Canadian AAA club Web sites.By providing AAA members accurate industry information from leading car data sources, Select-A-Car will enable AAA members to make smarter, more accurate vehicle purchasing decisions online. The Select-A-Car application provides -- needs analysis, side-by-side model comparisons, vehicle ratings, automobile configuration, and pricing information -- simplifying the sale of complex products and services across all sales channels.
Simplicity, ease of navigation and quality data are key features of Select-A-Car. The application combines Selectica's award winning Internet selling system, and Autofusion's domain knowledge and images, with data from leading industry providers -- including NADA Guides, IntelliChoice Inc., PriceBooks and JATO Dynamics.
