MEXICO CITY--Feb. 21, 2001--Modine Manufacturing Company's MexPar operation here has been recommended for registration to ISO 9001 by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, Inc.
MexPar manufactures a variety of radiators for original-equipment and aftermarket applications in the automotive, truck, bus, generator set, and off-road equipment markets. Dina, International, Mercedes, and CNH are among MexPar's original-equipment customers. MexPar began operations in 1957 as a maker of automotive radiators and, in 1961, entered a license agreement with Modine. MexPar became a Modine joint venture in 1985 and wholly owned by Modine in 1995. It now operates as part of Modine's Aftermarket Division.

The ISO 9001 standard applies to the functions of design and development, management, sales, procurement, customer service, testing, and technical support for production.
"We are very pleased that MexPar has been recognized for its quality system," said Dennis Webb, general manager for Modine's Aftermarket Division. "This registration demonstrates that MexPar is a world-class operation capable of supplying the finest products for use on original-equipment as well as in the aftermarket, anywhere in the world." MexPar has also achieved the Ford Q1 Award and the National Quality Award from the government of Mexico.
