Environmental Solutions Worldwide Announces Enviro-Cat Catalytic Converter Ready for Retrofit Market Sales

    MARKHAM, Ontario--Feb 21, 2001--Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc. (ESW) (OTCBB:ESWW), a multi-national company that develops, manufactures and markets environmental technologies, today announced that its next generation Enviro-Cat(TM) 3-way catalyst design has successfully completed performance trials, which were conducted at ESW's Telford, Pennsylvania-based engine emissions testing laboratory, Air Testing Services (ATS).
    The Company has been engaged in an ongoing development program which integrated its proprietary Enviro-Cat ceramic technology with its proprietary Clean Cat(R) alloy substrate technology. In doing so, the Company has made significant advancements toward reaching its goal of developing a lower cost alternative to existing converter products.
    Mr. David Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of ESW, remarked, "ESW's acquisition of Applied Diesel's assets, including its proprietary technologies, set in motion an inevitable evolution which amalgamated the two technologies. The hybrid Enviro-Cat represents the synergy achieved by successfully combining the two proprietary products into one catalytic substrate."

This will enable ESW to initiate an immediate sales program for the hybrid converter in Asia, Europe, South America and the Far East at a competitive price for unleaded applications." Based on the latest round of performance tests, ESW believes the Enviro-Cat has taken a significant step forward toward a marketable OEM product, which has the potential to meet the criteria of 2004 and 2007 emissions requirements."
    The Enviro-Cat is being produced at ESW's Telford PA-based manufacturing plant for various applications on spark ignited internal combustion engines, including full size converters, pre-cats and small utility engines.
