About Tom Turner
Tom Turner, WhereNet senior vice president, joined WhereNet in 1999 from Datamax Corporation, a leading supplier of products and services for the bar code industry, where he was president and director for five years. Under Turner's leadership, Datamax grew bar code printer business five-fold, expanded the product line, and earned recognition for the development of international business in the form of the U.S. Presidential "E Award" for Export Excellence. Prior to Datamax, he was senior vice president-North America for Symbol Technologies, where he managed the transition of Symbol to a system supplier of wireless LAN products for data collection, and more than doubled the business.
