Volvo Trucks Deliveries January 2001

    STOCKHOLM, Sweden--Feb. 16, 2001--Deliveries from Volvo Trucks in January 2001 totalled 5 294 trucks, and distributed as follows:

    The deliveries from Volvo Trucks during January increased on all market areas except North America. The increase was influenced by the fact that January this year both in Europe and North America had more working days than the same month last year. As a result of a continued weak demand in North America, the production capacity has been further reduced at Volvo Trucks North America and 400 people have been notified about redundancy. The order intake decreased by 10% compared with last year.
