Joint Press Conference Announces Formation of Indiana Technology Partnership Northeast
FORT WAYNE, Ind.--Feb. 15, 2001--Mayor Graham Richard and Mike Fritsch, Vice President of Business Development for Logikos, Inc., an advanced technology firm headquartered in Fort Wayne, announced the formation of the Indiana Technology Partnership Northeast (ITP-NE).The announcement, which came at a joint press conference with Richard and Tom Miller, President Indiana Technology Partnership was held directly after the Chamber of Commerce's Third Thursday Forum. Fritsch will be the chairman of ITP-NE.
"The ITP-NE will allow high tech companies to work together to leverage each other's capabilities," says Fritsch. "We will be working in conjunction with the Economic Development Alliance and the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center. Together, we can market Northeast Indiana's businesses with an emphasis on retaining and expanding our existing base and working toward a vibrant economic climate."
Fritsch explains that the Indiana Technology Partnership Northeast goals are threefold: "To increase visibility and capabilities of technology companies; to increase awareness of technology opportunities and aid companies in actively pursuing these opportunities; and finally, to serve as an advocacy group to ensure that there is a unified technology voice directed toward local, state and regional governmental bodies."
The ITP was formed last year with the mission to "establish Indiana as the nationally recognized leader in technology in the Midwest by the year 2005." Companies involved in the group are pooling their resources and finances to encourage the growth of technology-based businesses in this state.
