Mark Hogan, President of e-GM, Joins eAutoWorld as Keynote Speaker; Leader of One of World's Largest 'Clicks and Mortar' Initiatives Opens eAutoWorld in Detroit, April 10-12

RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 14 On April 10, automotive and
technology executives will converge in Detroit to hear Mark Hogan, group vice
president of General Motors and president of e-GM, open eAutoWorld as the
conference arrives in the Motor City for the first time. To be held April 10-
12 at Cobo Hall, eAutoWorld will explore the dynamic impact of the Internet
and other emerging technologies on all aspects of the auto industry, from
production to retailing to the aftermarket.
As one of the world's largest "clicks and mortar" initiatives, e-GM's
transformation into a global e-business enterprise is one of the New Economy's
most closely watched case studies. A 27-year veteran of GM, Hogan will share
with the executive-level audience his insights on the impact of emerging
technology, and how e-GM is striving to serve as a catalyst to enhance the
customer experience, improve efficiency and cut costs.
"Through technology innovation and application, we have an unprecedented
opportunity to dramatically change customer and supplier relationships through
increased service, responsiveness and efficiency," said Hogan. "Speaking at
eAutoWorld will give me a chance to share my experiences and to interact with
others charged with the similar responsibilities."
"The vision and strategy that Mark Hogan has set for the global execution
of an encompassing e-business strategy at GM is a lesson from which we can all
learn. eAutoWorld's third show will continue our tradition of offering
insightful, real-world case studies that help executives shape their e-
business strategies," said John Couretas, content chairman of eAutoWorld, a
conference and tradeshow produced by eMarketWorld.
eAutoWorld is an industry platform where automotive e-business executives,
technology leaders, seasoned analysts and media share thought-provoking
insights, news, product information and business opportunities. eAutoWorld
Detroit offers four distinctive tracks with unique, targeted programming:
eSupply, Dealer Strategies, Aftermarket Parts & Accessories and iVehicle. E-
Business practitioners from all of these fields will be on hand to discuss the
changes that the Internet and emerging technologies bring to the building of
cars and trucks; the business revolution for automobile dealers, owners and
prospective buyers; and the techniques required to build business-to-business
