International Launches New Line of Trucks That Combine Ingenuity and Common
Sense to Deliver Value to Customers
LAS VEGAS, Feb. 14 Common sense says that when a truck is
built to improve a customer's bottom line, it delivers high performance.
International Truck and Engine Corporation combines common sense and ingenuity
to deliver the new International(R) 4000, 7000 and 8000 Series, the Industry's
First High Performance Trucks(TM).
The new International 4000, 7000 and 8000 Series trucks are built for
specific applications to improve customer profitability. International will
continuously launch new models of High Performance trucks over the next
several years.
"This represents the start of the most comprehensive product launch in the
history of International. From this point on, we will roll out new models of
our High Performance truck line every few months for the next several years,"
said Steve Keate, president, truck group, International. "This is truly a new
class of truck designed to perform on a higher level and built to deliver
true, quantifiable value. The result is performance customers can take to the
bank."
The International 4000 Series medium-duty trucks are now available for
order, with full-production beginning in early April. Pickup and delivery,
utility, beverage, recovery and emergency service customers can count on the
International 4300 and 4400 to deliver a superb balance of power, ride and
comfort.
The International 8500 tractor will be available for order in May, with
full production ramping up in October. Customers needing regional haul
tractors can count on the International 8500 to maximize uptime, reduce
operating and maintenance costs and enhance profit potential with easy
serviceability, increased payload capacity and outstanding reliability and
durability.
The International 7000 Series will be available for order this summer, and
will go into full production in December. The International 7300, 7400 and
7500 models are engineered and built to perform in severe service vocations
like construction, government and waste. Everything from the cooling system
to the exhaust system has been reconfigured on the chassis of these trucks to
meet the specific application needs of severe service customers.
No matter which High Performance truck customers choose for their
business, they can bank on a real difference in vehicle performance, employee
performance and financial performance.
