US Airways and Avis Form Dividend Miles
Partnership; An Introductory Double Miles Bonus Offered
February 15 through April 30, 2001
GARDEN CITY, N.Y., and ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 13 Avis Rent A
Car will become a new partner in the US Airways Dividend Miles program
beginning February 15, 2001, offering Dividend Miles members great
opportunities to earn frequent flyer benefits when renting a car.
Under the new agreement, US Airways' Dividend Miles members can earn one
mile for every $1 spent on qualifying corporate and government Avis rentals,
or 2 miles per every $1 spent on other qualifying rentals. To earn miles, a
Dividend Miles member only needs to present a Dividend Miles card at the car
rental counter at the time of pick up.
"Avis has been highly successful in distinguishing itself as a champion
car transportation provider. With Avis' renowned reputation for service,
coupled with US Airways' commitment to quality, we are offering the ideal
fly/drive incentive program both for business and leisure travelers," said
Stephen M. Usery, US Airways Vice President of Marketing. "We are pleased
today to welcome Avis to our Dividend Miles program."
A special double miles bonus per qualifying rental will be offered to
introduce the new partnership February 15 through April 30, 2001. Rentals
must be picked up during the promotional period at participating airport
locations and customers must provide their Dividend Miles membership number at
the time of rental.

always looking for ways to provide extra value with each and every rental,"

Under US Airways' Dividend Miles program award structure, a standard coach
class award ticket requires only 20,000 miles for travel in the U.S. and
Canada during the off-peak period between September 15 and the last day of
February. Peak period travel requires 25,000 miles in the U.S. and Canada.
The number of miles needed for European off-peak award travel is 40,000,
with 50,000 miles needed for standard European peak Economy Class travel
between May 1 and September 30.
Dividend Miles members can earn Silver Preferred status after flying
30 segments or 25,000 miles, Gold Preferred status after flying 60 segments or
50,000 miles, and Chairman's Preferred, the highest level of the program,
after flying 100 segments or 100,000 miles.
