Exclusive: Australia: Ford Mustang Is All Right 'Down Under' Says just-auto.com

    LONDON, Feb. 12 http://www.just-auto.com -- Launched in
Australia this month, the right hand drive Ford Mustang already has 80 buyers
lined up.

says that the right hand drive Mustangs are unique to Australia where new left
hand drive vehicles are banned.  That has not stopped Australian enthusiasts
privately importing Mustangs during less restrictive times -- there are now
around 4000 on the road.
    Ford special vehicle operations business development manager Rick Nayler
is confident that the Australian Mustang will be popular.  He says, "80 people
were so keen they ordered the car before the pricing was released."
    Enthusiasts will no longer have to pay more for locally RHD-converted
Mustangs and will also have peace of mind in the form of a factory warranty,
Nayler said.
