Laforza Automobiles Inc. Announces Participation in Investor Golf Tournament; Doug Sanders to be Master of Ceremonies

    ESCONDIDO, Calif.--Feb. 12, 2001--Laforza Automobiles Inc. (Pink Sheets:LFZA) (OTCBB:LFZA) today announced they will participate in the fourth semi-annual investor invitational Golf Tournament to be held today at the Mountain Gate County Club in Los Angeles.
    Acclaimed PGA Pro Doug Sanders, a veteran of both PGA Tournaments and the Seniors Tour, will be the Master of Ceremonies for this event. Hosted by Santa Monica-based Direct Stock Market(R) (www.directstockmarket.com), the tournament and wine tasting awards ceremony is Southern California's premier investor golf tournament and business development networking opportunity. Participants include private investors, entrepreneurs, emerging-growth company executives, investment bankers, and venture capitalists.
    "We are gratified to have a PGA pro of the caliber of Doug Sanders as our master of ceremonies, and we know he will be able to share a lot of great ideas about business and golfing," said Tom Flavin, Direct Stock Market's(R) tournament director. "Doug will also be on hand to make a shot for players at one of the holes, as part of a fund-raising effort for the non-profit group BizWorld."
    Sanders became the first amateur to win the Canadian open, and has won 20 PGA Pro Tournaments, with winnings of over $1 million. Sanders was one of the first to promote the Seniors Tour with his own Celebrity Classic, and joined the Seniors Tour in 1983. Later that year he won the World Seniors Invitational.
    Sanders' appearance is being sponsored in part by Raging Bull Capital Inc. (www.ragingbullcapital.com). Raging Bull Capital Inc. also is sponsoring a hole-in-one contest featuring LaForza Automobile Company's SUV as a prize.

    Only 144 accredited investors and private equity leaders will be allowed to play in the tournament. A total of 300 high-net-worth investors, institutional investors and financial professionals will be able to attend the wine tasting networking event and awards ceremony dinner. Keynote speaker will be Clay Womack, Direct Capital Markets Chairman and chief executive officer, who will highlight current capital-raising trends and techniques.
    The preliminary list of tournament sponsors includes Duffer Ale, Foley & Lardner, the Virtual International Community, Pepperdine University, Miara Inc., and SportsCare International.
    The preliminary list of participating accredited investors, VCs, institutional investors and banking organizations includes Tech Coast Angels, Zone Ventures, Coast Business Credit, Imperial Bank, Wells Fargo Van Kasper, BofA Private Equity, East-West Capital Associates, Direct Capital Securities, Direct Bond Market, Direct Risk Management Group, and Direct Webcasts Group.
