Exclusive: Fiat are Market Leaders in Brazil says just-auto.com

For the first time since it started making cars in Brazil in 1976, Fiat has
achieved sales leadership and held it for three consecutive months.

says that Fiat sold 36,084 cars in January, to beat off rival Volkswagen,
which has led the Brazilian market since 1960.
    Fiat's sales performance is down to the newly launched Palio range of
hatchback, sedan and Weekend station wagon, face-lifted with help from Italy's
Giorgetto Giugiaro.
