Visteon Reaches out to Help Earthquake Relief Efforts

DEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 9 Visteon Corporation has
donated $25,000 to aid American Red Cross relief efforts for victims of the
earthquake that shook the subcontinent of India in late January.

The quake hit the western state of Gujarat, measuring between 7.6 and 7.9
on the Richter scale. Officials say the final death toll could be as high as
50,000, while hundreds of thousands of the survivors are now homeless.
The American Red Cross has begun to assist the people of India by sending
cash relief to the Indian Red Cross and relief supplies -- including plastic
sheeting and blankets -- for the homeless survivors. In addition, an American
Red Cross International Response team, all experts in disaster response, has
been sent to the earthquake-ravaged state.
"While none of Visteon's plants were directly affected by the earthquake,
we feel a responsibility to support the American Red Cross' relief efforts and
give back to the communities in which we do business," said Susan Skerker,
Senior Vice President of Visteon's Business Strategy and Corporate Relations.
In addition to Visteon's donation, the company's three facilities in India
are locally supporting organizations to help aid in the disaster relief.
