Nation's 11th Largest Law Firm Continues Detroit Office Expansion; Foley & Lardner Announces New Associates in Business Law, Litigation Departments
DETROIT--Feb. 8, 2001--Foley & Lardner, the nation's 11th largest law firm, today announced the addition of two associates to the firm's Detroit office."We are continuing our aggressive effort to attract the most highly talented and qualified local attorneys to our Detroit office," said Gerald J. "We have had 16 attorneys join our Detroit office since it opened just three months ago, all of whom strengthen Foley & Lardner's national presence and provide first-rate service to our local and national clients."
The two newest additions to Foley's Detroit office are:
-- | Karl A. Hochkammer, joining as an associate in Foley & Lardner's Business Law Department. Hochkammer focuses his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, tax law, securities law, real estate purchases and development, and contract matters. He has been lead attorney on a number of multimillion-dollar corporate buyouts, asset sales, joint ventures, and related financial transactions. He also has specialized experience with limited liability companies (LLCs), and has written for three years on LLCs for the National Business Institute in addition to appearing as a speaker on the topic. Hochkammer is a graduate of Lawrence University, where he received his bachelor's degree. He holds a law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law, and a master's degree in taxation from New York University. Prior to joining Foley & Lardner, Hochkammer was an associate at Detroit-based Raymond & Prokop and an associate adjunct professor in the Master of Science in Taxation Program at Walsh College of Business in Troy, Mich. |

Uetz represents and counsels clients in the areas of land-use litigation and real estate matters, as well as commercial litigation, including a special emphasis on the automotive industry. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Wayne State University Law School. Prior to joining Foley & Lardner, Uetz was an attorney at Detroit's Winter, PLC and Dykema Gossett PLLC. |
