Ducati Cancels Two-Day Test at Sears Point Raceway
SONOMA, Calif. (February 8, 2001) - Ducati has canceled its two-day test session at Sears Point Raceway, which was scheduled for Feb. 12-13.
The forecast for the North Bay calls for rain from Friday-Monday (Feb. 9-12) so Ducati officials decided to cancel the session. A make-up session has not been announced.
The test would have featured Bay Area native Steve Rapp and Scott Russell from HMC Ducati and Larry Pegram and John Kocinski from Competition Accessories Ducati Racing Team.
Sears Point Raceway will host the AMA Superbike Challenge, featuring the U.S. Chevy Trucks Superbike Championship, May 4-6.
