CNF Rated Among 'America's Most Admired Companies' for Third Year in Annual Survey by Fortune Magazine

PALO ALTO, Calif.--Feb. 8, 2001--CNF , a $6-billion company that provides global supply chain services, has again been ranked as America's most admired trucking enterprise in an independent survey by FORTUNE magazine.
In its February 19 cover story, "America's Most Admired Companies," CNF was, for the third year in a row, listed as the No. 1 most admired trucking company in North America. CNF has businesses in regional trucking, airfreight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, global logistics and trailer manufacturing.
"We are greatly honored to be recognized for a third time by FORTUNE," said CNF President and Chief Executive Officer Gregory L. Quesnel. "As a leader in global supply chain services, all of our operating companies provide premium ground transport services, but our principal trucking subsidiary, Con-Way Transportation Services, deserves special recognition for CNF earning this honor again this year.
"Con-Way, Menlo Logistics and Emery Worldwide all contribute to our success. Our proud heritage is in the U.S. trucking industry but today we serve 1.2 million customers worldwide with a full range of supply chain services," Quesnel said.
This is the nineteenth year of FORTUNE's annual survey, which asks executives, directors and securities analysts to rank companies in their own industries based on eight key attributes of corporate reputation.
