Five Additional Video Displays Added Indianapolis Motor Speedway

    BROOKINGS, S.D., Feb. 7 Daktronics , a
leading designer and manufacturer of electronic scoring, timing, video and
information display systems, announced today it will provide five additional
ProStar(R) large screen video displays, as well as additional incandescent
matrix displays and advertising equipment for the world famous Indianapolis
Motor Speedway.
    In 1999 Daktronics provided seven large screen video displays at the
speedway. In 2000 six more ProStar(R) displays were installed. The addition of
five more screens, to be installed in time for the 2001 Indianapolis 500 on
May 27, will bring the total number of ProStar(R) large screen LED video
displays to 18 at the world's preeminent motor sports facility.
    In addition to the Indianapolis 500, Indianapolis Motor Speedway is also
the home of the Brickyard 400 held in August and the U.S. Grand Prix Formula
One Race held in September. The Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 are the two
largest, single-day, spectator-sporting events in the world, respectively.
