Autofusion and Selectica Launch Select-A-Car for J.D. Power Clubs; 'Let Me Build a Vehicle' Powered by Select-A-Car

    SAN DIEGO--Feb. 5, 2001--Autofusion Corporation, a leading provider of auto-related e-commerce technology, and Selectica(TM), Inc. , a leading provider of Internet Selling Systems (ISS) for e-business, today announced that J.D. Power Clubs (www.jdpower.com) has launched Select-A-Car(TM) as its online "let me build a vehicle" solution.
    Consumers are building virtual vehicles using Select-A-Car at the J.D. Power Clubs' Consumer Center. Choices of makes and models, complete with available colors, packages and options are offered.
    J.D. Power Clubs helps car buyers make smarter purchasing decisions. The auto center provides ratings and decision and comparison tools, including side-by-side comparisons, designed to help consumers with purchase and ownership decisions.
    Simplicity, ease of navigation and quality data are key features of Select-A-Car. The application combines Selectica's award-winning ISS, a system for simplifying and accelerating the sale of complex products and services across all sales channels and Autofusion's domain knowledge and images, with data from leading industry providers -- including NADA Guides, IntelliChoice, Inc., PriceBooks and JATO Dynamics.
