Five Star Market Center

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 3 Chrysler Group's Five Star Market
Center(R) has delivered significant real savings for dealers in just four
months since launch. The one-of-a-kind Dealer-Manufacturer partnership now
has over 1,000 participating Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge dealers, and growing
rapidly.
Five Star Market Center provides dealers the opportunity to purchase goods
and services using the Internet at volume discounts, currently including fuel,
package delivery, uniforms, office supplies, telecommunications and more.
"Five Star Market Center's sheer size of aggregated dealer buying power
commands lower prices, which benefits the individual dealer's bottom line
immediately," said Gary E. Dilts, Senior Vice President of Chrysler Group's e-
business unit. "Additional dealer savings will be realized in the process
efficiencies of Five Star Market Center's Internet ordering and consolidated
billing."
Five Star Market Center and its participating suppliers are demonstrating
the products, values and the internet ordering and billing at the National
Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) convention.
Every Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealer attending NADA will see the addition
of publication and credit services on today's Five Star Market Center. These
reflect the development team's plans to cover literally everything dealers
buy, from paperclips to healthcare. "Five Star Market Center never stands
still and the savings will continue to grow," Dilts continued. "A dealer who
takes full advantage of Five Star Market Center can save thousands of dollars
per month on a variety of goods and services that dealers normally purchase
anyway."
While the Five Star Market Center is first a commitment from the Chrysler
Group to its dealers, it fits into a much bigger picture at DaimlerChrysler
AG. "Five Star Market Center is an example of how e-business is benefiting
our restructuring," said Dilts. "It's a winning formula that provides savings
for our dealers, additional sales for our suppliers and cost savings."
Five Star Market Center is an initiative of DCXnet, formed last year to
manage the company's e-business activities globally and across business units.
