Delphi and Jones Lang LaSalle Management Team Win TOBY Award

TROY, Mich., Feb. 2 Delphi Automotive Systems'
world headquarters facility in Troy, Mich., has won the prestigious Office
Building of the Year "TOBY" Award presented by the Building Owners and

recognizes both quality in office buildings and excellence in office building
management. The building is managed by Jones Lang LaSalle, an industry
leading global real estate services and investment management company.

BOMA evaluates all facets of a building's operations including tenant
relations programs, community involvement, emergency evacuation procedures,
continuing education for building personnel and overall exceptional service
when selecting the "TOBY" Award recipient. The building is now eligible to
advance to BOMA's regional competition and if it wins there, would advance to
the international competition.
"We are very proud of our Troy headquarters, and we are delighted with the
recognition for excellence in community and employee relations, as well as
facilities management," said Karen Healy, Delphi's vice president of corporate
affairs and facilities. "Currently, we are constructing two new buildings to
consolidate divisions on our site as a part of Delphi's continued effort to
reduce costs and improve productivity. We expect these new buildings to
attain the same high standards as our original facility here."
"Jones Lang LaSalle is dedicated to maintaining the highest building
standards," said Brian Eckblad, area manager for Jones Lang LaSalle. He
added, "We are very proud of our management team at Delphi's headquarters, and
to be recognized by industry peers is a great honor."
Situated at Crooks Road and Square Lake Road just east of I-75, the two-
building Delphi World Headquarters is comprised of a six-story office tower
and a one-story high bay/tech building which were completed in August, 1997.
The two buildings are separated by a courtyard and outdoor eating area, but
are physically linked by two ground level walkways. The tech building
includes a cafeteria, customer center, receiving docks, mail
receiving/distribution room, parking garage, building support and engineering
areas.
Delphi's two new buildings, which will consolidate several leased
facilities in the Midwest, will be completed in early 2002. The consolidation
is being made to better utilize employee resources, reduce operating costs,
and create synergies among divisional administrative staffs for improved
efficiencies.
