Infiniti Announces January Sales Figures Down 21.9%

    CARSON, Calif., Feb. 1 Infiniti, the luxury division of
Nissan North America, Inc., today reported January sales of 5,300 units, a
decrease of 21.9 percent versus last year.
    Infiniti's flagship Q45 luxury performance sedan reported an 8.9 percent
increase over the same period last year with sales of 409 units.
    As the volume sales leader, the Infiniti I30 reported strong sales of
2,408 units while the QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle reported sales of
1,672 units.  The G20, Infiniti's luxury sports sedan, posted sales of
811 units.
    Nissan North America, Inc. combined sales for January, including Nissan
and Infiniti divisions, totaled 50,489 units, a 6.6 percent decrease versus
last year.

luxury Sport Utility Vehicle, G20 sports sedan, I30 luxury sedan, and flagship
