Collins & Aikman Announces Human Resources Appointments
TROY, Mich.--Feb. 1, 2001--Collins & Aikman Corporation today announced the promotions of Scott G. Landis to Director, Human Resources-Accessory Mats & Acoustics and Ms. Robin Linville, to Director, Human Resources for the Company's Convertible Systems Group. In making the announcements, Greg L. Tinnell, Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources, noted, "Landis and Linville are skilled professionals who have been proven assets to our Company's human resources function. Their leadership will enable us to continue recruiting highly skilled associates for Collins & Aikman while also building on the already successful safety records and labor relations in their respective groups." As director, each will be responsible for the personnel and industrial relations activities of the group and will help implement efficient human resources practices and processes.Scott Landis was previously Human Resources Manager for the Company's Accessory Mats and Acoustics Group, and will remain at the Company's Canton, Ohio, location. Prior to joining Collins & Aikman, Landis was Human Resource Manager for Horizon Healthcare Corporation of Baltic, Ohio. Landis brings more than 10 years of human resources related experience to Collins & Aikman, and strong background in labor relations. He holds a bachelor's of art degree in organizational communication from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.
Robin Linville was previously the Human Resources Manager for the U.S. Operations of the Company's Convertible Systems Division, and will remain at the Company's Adrian, Mich. Technical Center. Prior to joining Collins & Aikman in 1997, Linville was President of Dynamic Training Systems in Toledo, Ohio. She earned a bachelor's of arts degree in business from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., and is currently working towards her master's of business administration at the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio.
