Urban Car Radio Show Airs On-Line; The Driving
Force On Wheels Expands Its Listening Audience to the
Internet
DETROIT, Jan. 31 On Wheels, Inc., an African-American-owned
multimedia company and publisher of African Americans On Wheels magazine
(AAOW), and AutoNetwork, Inc., an African-American owned automotive content
provider, have formed a business alliance to expand the reach of On Wheels'
radio show, The Driving Force On Wheels. The Driving Force On Wheels, a
weekly car talk show geared towards African-American consumers heard on Radio
One Detroit WCHB-AM 1200, can now be heard by car enthusiasts throughout the
world via the Internet at http://www.onwheelsinc.com .
The on-demand Web cast of the Detroit-based talk show is a result of an
Internet-based partnership recently announced by On Wheels, Inc., President,
Randi Payton and AutoNetwork, Inc., President, Roosevelt Gist, Jr.
"The Driving Force On Wheels radio show is an extension of our bimonthly
magazine African Americans On Wheels, which is distributed throughout the
country. The significance of this partnership is that automotive news and
information about the Black automotive culture can now be heard around the
globe," says Payton.
On Wheels, Inc., is a multimedia automotive communications company
dedicated to serving the needs and interests of the African-American market
segment via radio, Internet, magazine and events. AutoNetwork, Inc., was the
first African American owned automotive Web site. It now creates and
distributes automotive content via streaming video and text to other Web sites
on a subscription basis. They are the only two Internet sites targeting
African-American car buyers.
Together, the companies offer a unique and innovative way to further
educate African-American car enthusiasts about the car driving and buying
experience, while being a reliable resource for news and trends affecting the
automotive industry.
