Hollinger International Announces DriveChicago.com's Strategic Partnership With NBC 5 Television

    NEW YORK, Jan. 31 Hollinger International Inc.
announces that the Chicago area's most comprehensive regional automotive Web
site, DriveChicago.com, has signed an agreement with a new strategic marketing
partner, NBC 5 Television/Chicago.
    The marketing power of NBC 5 further extends the reach and influence of
DriveChicago.com, an automotive information Web site that is an equal
partnership of Hollinger International Inc.'s Chicago Publications (including
Chicago Sun-Times, Pioneer Press, Daily Southtown, and Star), the Chicago
Automobile Trade Association, and Paddock Publications (Daily Herald).
    The ABC Radio Group (WLS AM, WXCD/The Zone, ESPN Radio and Radio Disney)
is also affiliated with DriveChicago.com as a media partner.  The radio
program "Drive Chicago" is featured on WLS AM in a Saturday timeslot from 9 am
to 10 am.
    DriveChicago.com features comprehensive listings of new and used car
information from Chicago's leading auto dealers and manufacturers.  The
DriveChicago.com Web site draws on the expertise and reach of the Chicago
Automobile Trade Association with more than 650 members.
    The addition of NBC 5 in the new strategic partnership will include Web
site links between NBC 5 and DriveChicago.com, joint promotions at major
automotive events such as the Chicago Auto Show, special promotions and on-air
commercials for the Web site to enhance consumer awareness.
    DriveChicago.com is promoted through the combined circulation of Chicago's
leading newspapers including the Sun-Times (Hollinger) and Daily Herald
(Paddock).  The combined circulation of Hollinger and Paddock is greater than
1,000,000 with a readership estimated at more than 3 million on a daily basis.
    The addition of NBC 5 in combination with newspaper and radio promotion
drives the estimated weekly audience of reader, viewers and listeners to well
over 5 million people and an estimated 2 million households.
