Alltrade Automotive has added three new Powerbuilt gear-to-gear quick release ratchets to its line of professional mechanic’s hand tools. “Gear-to-gear” refers to the new and improved ratchet mechanism featured on these drive tools, according to the company, which says the the ratchet’s gear-on-gear pawl ratchet engaging mechanism replaces a conventional dog/pawl mechanism to increase the strength and service life of the tool while reducing the number of moving parts.
