Ball Bearing Supplier NSK Corporation's Business Requirements Call for the MARC Fulfillment Solution
RESTON, Va.--Jan. 30, 2001--MARC Global Services, a leading systems integrator of supply chain execution (SCE) solutions, has been selected by NSK Corporation to implement the MARC(TM) system with its best-of-breed warehouse management software (WMS) in its new Indianapolis distribution center. NSK Corporation, a leading supplier of bearings and related precision products for the automotive and industrial manufacturing industries, recently awarded MARC Global Services the implementation and product license contract based on its implementation successes and the MARC Value Added Services software module.
The new, 136,000 square foot facility houses NSK's full product line including its best-selling single row radial ball bearings. NSK chose MARC Global Services based on its ability to implement a "configuration ready" system with enhanced configuration tools to speed implementation in any fulfillment environment. Additionally, the MARC-Value Added Services module will augment NSK's current kitting and customer-specific labeling and packaging operations as well as the product's interface with the Loftware solution, a graphical tool for off-line barcode labeling and document design. The agreement covers implementation and software license.
