AMETEK Names John Wesley Hardin Vice President
And General Manager of Its Dixson Division
PAOLI, Pa., Jan. 30 AMETEK Inc. today
announced that the Board of Directors has elected Mr. John Wesley Hardin, Vice
President and General Manager of AMETEK's Dixson Division, effective
immediately. Mr. Hardin was previously Business Unit Manager at Dixson with
responsibility for its Heavy Vehicle business.
Frank Hermance, AMETEK Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, "I am

leadership in the design and marketing of Dixson's INTERLINK(TM) Next
Generation Instrument line has been superb. It demonstrates his ability to

Mr. Hardin joined AMETEK in December 1998 as Director of Sales and
Marketing for the Dixson Division. In May 2000 he was named Business Unit
Manager for the Division's Heavy Vehicle segment. Prior to joining AMETEK,
Mr. Hardin held positions as Director of Engineering and Sales and Marketing
Manager with Furon Company and was a Senior Project Engineer for McDonnell
Douglas.
Mr. Hardin holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Missouri, Columbia, and a Master of Business Administration
degree in Marketing from Webster University.
