Fred Hubacker Joins Venture Industries as Vice Chairman
FRASER, Mich.--Jan. 29, 2001--Venture Industries (Fraser, MI) has announced the appointment of Fred Hubacker as vice chairman for the Venture Companies Worldwide. In this new position, Hubacker is responsible for business development and joint ventures worldwide. In addition, he directs sales, marketing, the customer business teams activities, and finance."We welcome the insight and experience of an industry veteran like Fred to help us continue our growth both globally and technologically," says Venture chairman and chief executive officer Larry Winget. Hubacker served as president and chief executive officer of auto supplier New Venture Gear (Troy, Mich.) for the past five years. Prior to that he was president and chief operating officer of Textron Automotive Company (Troy, Mich.) and group vice president of Textron, Inc. He held numerous senior operating positions at Chrysler Corporation before joining Textron in 1993.
Hubacker holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Michigan State University and a master's in finance from Wayne State University. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the Original Equipment Supplier Association (OESA), the Manufacturers' Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI), the U.S. Automotive Parts Advisory Committee, the Michigan State University Development Board, the Michigan State University Eli Broad College of Business Board of Directors, the Detroit Economic Club, the FIRST Executive Advisory Board, and the Oakland University Meadowbrook Executive Committee.
