Goodyear Announces Fourth Quarter 2000 Earnings Release and Conference Call

    AKRON, Ohio, Jan. 26 The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company
will report fourth quarter 2000 financial results on Wednesday, Feb. 14, to be
followed at 8:30 a.m. by an investor conference call.
    Participating in the conference call will be Samir G. Gibara, chairman and
chief executive officer; Robert J. Keegan, president and chief operating
officer; and Robert W. Tieken, executive vice president and chief financial
officer.  They will review Goodyear's fourth quarter results and the company's
plans to improve performance in 2001.
