Toyota West Virginia Plant to Webcast Major Announcement Friday

    BUFFALO, W.Va., Jan. 25 Senator Jay Rockefeller, Governor
Bob Wise and Toyota Motor North America President Tag Taguchi will join TMMWV
president Tomoya Toriumi and other dignitaries in an exciting announcement
regarding the future of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, West Virginia, Inc. on
Friday, January 26, 2001, at 11 a.m.
    The event at the Buffalo plant will begin promptly at 11 a.m.  Following
the announcement and media Q&A, there will be a brief media tour of the V-6
engine line.
    The announcement also will be webcast on the Internet at
http://www.videonewswire.com/TOYOTA/012601/ and will be the first "live" video
webcast of an event in West Virginia.
    Due to security check-in, we ask that media arrive and be set up by
10:30 a.m.  The announcement will begin promptly at 11 a.m.  Media should
enter the plant at the Main Gate.  Proceed to the Security Gate and you will
be directed to the media parking area and the announcement location.
    The plant is located south of the Town of Buffalo on WV Route 62.
