Toyota West Virginia Plant to Make Major Announcement

    BUFFALO, W.Va., Jan. 24 Senator Jay Rockefeller, Governor
Bob Wise and Toyota Motor North America President Tag Taguchi will join other
dignitaries in an exciting announcement regarding the future of Toyota Motor
Manufacturing, West Virginia, Inc. on Friday, January 26, 2001, at 11 a.m. at
the Buffalo plant.
    The event will begin promptly at 11 a.m.  Following the announcement and
media Q&A, there will be a brief media tour of the V-6 engine line.  In
addition, this also will be the first "live" video webcast of an event in West
Virginia.  The URL for the webcast will be sent to you later this week.
    Due to the required security check-in, we ask that you arrive and be set
up by 10:30 a.m.  Media should enter the plant at the Main Gate.  Proceed to
the Security Gate and you will be directed to the media parking area and the
announcement location.
    The plant is located south of the Town of Buffalo on WV Route 62.
