WTA Signs LOI for Indonesia
EL CAJON, Calif.--Jan. 23, 2001--World Transport Authority Inc. (WTA)(OTCBB:WTAI)(Frankfurt:920943) announced today that it has signed a letter of intent with P.T. Ori Polytec Composites (PPC) for a Master License covering the Republic of Indonesia.The Letter of Intent was executed on Jan. 20, 2001, by Iman Basir, president of PPC, and Lyle A. Wardrop, president of WTA.
Both parties anticipate that the due diligence process and construction of a business plan for the exploitation of the Indonesian market will be accomplished expeditiously. The parties must execute a Master License Agreement by March 20, 2001. The fee for the Master License will be based on the population of the territory as well as the current number of vehicles to be manufactured.
Located just south of the Philippines, Indonesia consists of over 1,800,000 square miles of archipelago between the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The aggregate population of Indonesia is approximately 224 million people.
P.T. Ori Polytec Composites is an Indonesian company, which manufactures filament wound, poltrusion-molded and fiberglass-molded products. The company has 30 years experience, much of it automotive, and currently employs approximately 475 employees.
