ArvinMeritor's Motion Control Honored as Vendor of the Year by Advance Auto Parts

    TROY, Mich., Jan. 23 ArvinMeritor, Inc.
announces that its Motion Control Systems Aftermarket Group has been
recognized by Advance Auto Parts with its Supplier of the Year award for 2000.
The annual award recognizes companies that have delivered outstanding quality
for products and services, as well as demonstrating a continuous commitment to
building strong partnerships.

    Advance Auto Parts chooses award winners based on high-level criteria,
including world-class quality, delivery, warranty, purchasing, marketing,
program management and technical development requirements.

    The award was presented to ArvinMeritor's Motion Control Systems
Aftermarket Distribution manager, Gary Hertzog, and director of sales, Clint
Curry.  The award ceremony took place at the Advance Auto Parts Managers'
Conference and Vendor Expo, held December 11 and 12 in Orlando, Fla.
