DynaMotive's BioOil Combustion Tests Opens Opportunities for BioOil

VANCOUVER, Jan. 23 - DynaMotive Technologies Corporation
(OTCBB: DYMTF) has successfully completed BioOil combustion testing at Natural
Resources Canada's (NRCan) CANMET Energy Technology Centre (CETC) in Ottawa,
Ontario. The success of this test program creates opportunities for early
commercial applications for BioOil as a clean burning fuel to replace natural
gas, diesel and other fossil fuels in the multi-billion dollar industrial
fuels market. Customers for BioOil fuels could potentially include local,
regional and international energy users such as electrical utilities, forest
companies, oil and gas producers and manufacturing companies.

"DynaMotive's BioOil project is another example of how our investment in
bioenergy technologies can help turn our climate change 'problem' into an
innovation 'opportunity'," said Ralph Goodale, Minister of Natural Resources
Canada (NRCan). "BioOil is an exciting new fuel source that has the potential
to be CO2 neutral while helping Canada manage its forestry and agricultural
wastes."

Commenting on the results of the combustion tests, DynaMotive President &
CEO Andrew Kingston said: "We are very pleased with the results achieved. We
have worked in close co-operation with CETC and are well on our way to
validate the base commercial case for BioOil as a fuel for industrial heat and
power applications. The opportunities that have been opened are enormous and
are particularly relevant to the timber and forest industry. The conversion of
forest residues into a liquid fuel with stable combustion properties provides
the industry with the possibility of converting a waste into a resource and to
reduce and control its energy costs in what is becoming a highly volatile
energy market".

DynaMotive intends to become the world leader in the development of
technology to produce competitively priced liquid fuels from biomass. BioOil
is produced using patented technology that converts forest and agricultural
wastes such as bark, sawdust and sugar cane bagasse into a liquid fuel. Unlike
fossil fuels, BioOil is renewable, clean burning, low in emissions and
greenhouse gas neutral. As a clean fuel for heat and power generation in
boilers, gas turbines and diesel engines, BioOil presents significant market
opportunities that DynaMotive intends to exploit commercially. The Company and
its partners are also engaged in research and development on a range of
derivative products that, if successful, could potentially further enhance the
market and value of BioOil as an alternative fuel and product source.
