Crowley Logistics Grows Service Offering with TradeSphere Solutions
DULLES, Va.--Jan. 19, 2001--Vastera , the leading provider of solutions for global trade management, today announced that Crowley Logistics Inc., a leading provider of integrated logistics services, has successfully added global trade management capabilities to its new Transportation Management service.Launched earlier this month, Crowley's Transportation Management service offers end-to-end supply chain transportation services for the company's third party logistics customers.
Crowley Logistics, a subsidiary of Crowley Maritime Corporation, provides seamless integrated logistics solutions for customers in the United States and Latin America. In addition to Transportation Management, the company offers contract supply chain management, consulting, third party intermodal services, warehouse and in-plant services.
Logistics solutions are tailored to fit customer needs and all are backed by strong systems support.
Following a comprehensive strategic market analysis, Crowley identified global trade management services as an attractive new business opportunity, which could enhance revenue, help differentiation the company from its competitors and add value for its clients.
Crowley Logistics selected Vastera as its solutions provider for global trade management and implemented the TradeSphere Exporter solution.
TradeSphere Exporter is a software solution which helps companies streamline the process of shipping goods internationally, including generating the necessary international shipping documentation, adhering to the country-specific trade regulations which govern exports and imports, and tracking global shipments.
