Ryder Awarded New Saturn Contract

Spring Hill Manufacturing and Assembly Center -
Ryder System, Inc. , a global leader in logistics and transportation management solutions, today announced it has been awarded a key contract by Saturn Corporation for Inbound Material Logistics Operations, announced Gregory T. Swienton, Ryder's President and Chief Executive Officer.

"General Motors is one of Ryder's largest and most important global customers and the new contract is a strong validation of Ryder's capabilities and presence as a major logistics provider to the automotive industry."
Ryder has provided inbound logistics services, including network design and supply chain management, to Saturn since 1990. Ryder's new contract for inbound logistics for Saturn's Spring Hill, Tenn. manufacturing and assembly complex continues these services. Ryder will support the continued production of Saturn S-series cars as well as the new Saturn VUE sport utility vehicle. Under a separate contract, Ryder provides direct materials logistics services for Saturn's Wilmington, Del. assembly plant.
