Pickups Plus In Lexington, Ky.

MASON, Ohio--Pickups Plus Inc. has approved a franchise for the Lexington, Ky. area.

“This will be our second store in Kentucky, which has already proven to be a strong market,” said John Fitzgerald, Pickups Plus president. “We are very excited about this new franchise, which will further strengthen our presence in the Midwest as we plan for our aggressive nationwide expansion.”

The new 4,000 sq. foot store will be located at 4013 Nicholasville Road and will dedicate 2,100 sq. feet for retail space and 1,900 sq. feet for the two installation bays and storage. “This new Pickups Plus store will be nestled in the busiest retail area of Lexington, near the Fayette Mall,” said Brian Glover, vice president of franchising and operations.

“After several years of extensive development and testing of (our) franchise system, the company is gearing up to start a nationwide expansion to be first-to-market in its growing, but highly fragmented industry made up almost entirely of small, independent, non-branded shops,” acccording to Fitzgerald

Founded in 1993, Pickups Plus specializes in aftermarket accessories for pickup trucks and SUVs. It currently operates three corporate retail stores and has another seven franchised stores throughout eight states.
