Athey Swept Under

WAKE FOREST, N.C.--Athey Products Corp., which makes street sweeping and material handling equipment, has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

The company plans to continue operations, and it “will devote its efforts to the manufacture and shipment of its products while a reorganization plan is developed.”

Athey said the filing was “due to cash-flow constraints imposed by its secured lender.”

While the bankruptcy process proceeds, the Athey will receive assistance from the turnaround management firm of Nachman Hays Consulting Inc.
