Delphi Breaking Into China Aftermarket
BEIJING--Delphi Automotive Systems is reportedly set to enter Chinas aftermarket service segment, according to the Xinhua News Service.
A Delphi executive was quoted as saying that the company will provide a full line of products, including power generators, air conditioning systems and storage batteries.
Although Delphi has 15 enterprises in China, which include joint- and solely-funded ventures that are primarily involved in supplying products to the countrys major automobile producers, Delphi has yet to enter the aftermarket until now, according to Xinhua.
China is one of fastest growing automotive markets in the world, the official reportedly said. He expressed confidence that Delphi will take a suitable share of the available aftermarket.
Delphis decision will put pressure on assorted Chinese enterprises--likely to have a hefty impact on the countrys car-making segment and its entire aftermarket, industry insiders reportedly predicted.
