Timken Names GSWB Marketing
CANTON, Ohio--The Timken Corp. has named GSWB Marketing, (also known as Gruber, Salsitz, Wirth and Bloom) as automotive aftermarket sales agency of the year. Timken selected GSWB from among the 10 automotive aftermarket sales representative agencies working with the company.
Based in Los Angeles, GSWB has represented Timken automotive products to customers in Arizona, California and Nevada for two years.
As a result of their aggressive sales strategy, GSWB Marketing has exceeded their 2000 goals for Timken, said Lonnie N. Mayne, Timkens national sales manager for the aftermarket. GSWB Marketing has increased existing business and signed new accounts, bringing Timken and its full line of automotive aftermarket products to the forefront on the West Coast.
We were honored to be recognized as the agency of the year by Timken, said Herb Gruber, a GSWB principal. We were especially pleased to receive this achievement in just the second year of our partnership with Timken, added Gruber. The brand identity of Timken and its recognition as a quality product has made this sales growth possible.
Timken manufactures bearings and alloy steels at operations in 24 countries. The company employs about 21,000 people worldwide and reported 1999 sales of $2.5 billion.
