Installers Get Spicer Seasoning
McHENRY, Ill.--An assortment of chassis-related training clinics, tech hotlines, videoconferencing and service manuals are being produced for use by installers of Spicer Professional Grade Chassis parts.
Spicer Professional Grade Chassis invests millions in the latest technology to make sure the best in chassis also means the best in service and training, said Wally Marciniak, director of technical services for parent firm Dana Brake and Chassis.
The Spicer training centers are state-of-the-art facilities designed for product, technical and hands-on training, he said. The centers contain classrooms and a fully operational workshop that is equipped with the most-up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
Video conferencing allows Spicer trainers to reach hundreds of technicians at once through an interactive forum where the technicians can ask questions relating to various aspects of chassis systems, including service and diagnostic procedures.
Monthly technical bulletins provide information on various topics such as detailed descriptions of problems, causes and solutions. Spicer also offers specification manuals that cover topics from basic repair on domestic and import vehicles to alignment products.
Field training courses provide hands-on alignment classes from basic to advanced level programs. A comprehensive series of video-training tapes on alignment and chassis systems is available to supplement ongoing training programs.
In addition, a technical hotline is available for troubleshooting and advice on products, service and installation.
The Spicer Internet site at www.spicerchassis.com includes information on technical training and other topics. Answers to technical questions, a company newsletter and product updates are also available on the website.
We are committed to providing professional installers with everything they need to service the chassis needs of their customers, said Marciniak.
