NASCAR Checking Out MotorCheck

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.--Daimler-Chrysler will use the MotorCheck OSA-II diagnostic device from Global Technovations Inc. in its race support vehicles--the Viper and Super Truck--for the NASCAR series’ Super Truck Race Team.

The Daimler-Chrysler Super Truck Race Team joins other previously announced MotorCheck installations along with Toyota’s CART development team and the Bill Davis NASCAR Race Team.

“We are pleased with the rapid OSA-II progress we are making in the racing market segment,” said Will Willis, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer. “The MotorCheck OSA-II instrument purchased by Daimler-Chrysler has been modified with air shocks and automatic lock-down devices to meet the racing teams’ transportable needs for moving from racetrack to racetrack,” he explained. “This modification will also serve us well in other OSA-II markets and applications.

In related news, GTI also announced it has entered into a distributor agreement with ARSA (Analitica Representaciones, SA DE C.V.), an OSA-II sales and support distributor headquartered in Guadalajara, Mexico, with regional offices in Monterey, Veracruz, and Mexico City. Currently, GTI has two MotorCheck(TM) installations in Mexico at Mexlube, a Mexican lubricant company and an affiliate of Petroleous Mexocanos, the largest oil company in Mexico.

Additionally, a national truck stop chain, Petro Shopping Centers, has installed a MotorCheck OSA-II instrument at its York, Neb. location. Petro also has an OSA-II at its truck stop in Bordentown, N.J. MotorCheck is now available at more than 55 truck stops nationwide.
