Pep Boys Lists Store Closings

PHILADELPHIA--In conjunction with the layoffs of some 1,500 employees and the closing of 38 unprofitable stores on Oct. 28, Pep Boys says it “is generally pleased” with the performance of its remaining 627 stores--noting that it “does not contemplate closing any additional stores in the near future.”
