Wynn Joins iStarXchange

IRVINE, Calif.--Wynn Oil Co., a supplier of chemical and service programs for professional installers, car dealerships and national accounts, today announced that it has agreed to join iStarXchange, a business-to-business e-marketplace connecting the automotive replacement parts supply chain.

iStarXchange will enable Wynn to build stronger relationships with its 83 warehouse distributors in North America, allowing these distributors to identify local Wynn’s distribution sources and place product orders in a cost-efficient, effective manner, according to the company. Wynn will also use iStarXchange to locate replacement parts on behalf of facilities repairing vehicles covered by Wynn’s product warranty programs.

In addition, the online commerce and cataloging capabilities of iStarXchange enables Wynn to maintain a real-time content procurement exchange for more than 80,000 end customers, including automotive dealerships (new and used), independent repair shops and national accounts. Orders from these customers will be automatically routed to Wynn’s existing distributors, providing all parties an efficient and intelligent business solution, according to the company.

“We’re excited about using iStarXchange to add value to our current business relationships and the opportunity to reach new customers and markets through this dynamic e-marketplace,” says Don DiCostanzo, Wynn’s president. “iStarXchange provides a single solution that can deliver on our entire e-commerce strategy.”

“Wynn Oil Company shares our vision of bringing cost efficiencies and new revenue opportunities to all participants in the automotive aftermarket,” says E.J. O’Leary, chief executive officer of iStarXchange. “We anticipate that iStarXchange will improve profitability and revenue opportunities to the entire Wynn Oil family of distributors and customers, dramatically improving performance and efficiency throughout the chain.”
