Grease Monkey Named Top Fast Lube

DENVER--Grease Monkey International Inc. has been named the No. 1 fast lube operation in a Consumer Reports survey of “oil change shops” in its October issue. The rating is based on more than 37,000 respondents to a survey conducted in 1999 by the magazine.

“Customer satisfaction is the focal point of every service Grease Monkey performs, and the true measure of our success,” said Rex L. Utsler, senior vice president and chief operating officer.

Grease Monkey centers provide preventive maintenance services that meet manufacturers’ recommendations for most makes and models of vehicles, he said. Every full service oil change there includes new oil and filter, a check and fill of major fluids, tire pressure check, interior vacuum and exterior window wash. In addition, Grease Monkey provides transmission service, radiator flush and fill service, air filters, and fluids for power steering, batteries, windshields, and differentials.

Founded in 1978, Grease Monkey has more than 200 centers operating in the United States and Mexico.
