Internet Parts Site Opens Phone Line

NEW YORK--Seekers of used parts who eschew the Internet can now connect via telephone with the iSalvage website--a procurement network for recycled and remanufactured automotive parts.

As part of the new “Dial iSalvage” service offering, registered users can call or fax search requests to a toll free number. The service is particularly helpful for insurance adjustors who are on the road and need recycled parts information fast to fulfill claims estimates, according to the company.

“While the Internet offers one way to search for parts, our customers have told us that when it’s not convenient or possible to log-on, they still want access to our valuable service and to our knowledgeable customer service team,” said Gary Linhart, president and chief operating officer at iSalvage. “Our new phone and fax service is a direct response to this request, and reinforces our commitment to providing superior customer service.”

“Dial iSalvage” allows users to call or fax iSalvage customer service toll-free with a search request. iSalvage then conducts a real-time Internet parts search and emails or faxes the search results back to the user. iSalvage can also track and manage searches and search results based on individuals, claims, or groups, which is particularly useful for insurance companies.

iSalvage’s “Dial iSalvage” phone and fax service is available to commercial automotive parts buyers and insurance employees nationwide. The service is free to join and is free to use for an introductory period through January 1.
